Parisian re-telling of ALICE IN WONDERLAND to play the SoHo Playhouse, written and directed by yours truly.

$5.00 of every ticket is benefiting Project Night-Night, so please spare me the shill business. :) It's for a great cause!

Is this sort of like when Young Frankenstein and Frankenstein were both playing at the same time on and off Broadway and one was way better than the other?

No because both Young Frankenstein and Frankenstein were terrible.

Are you saying Parisian Wonderland is terrible? 'Cause that's just mean.

I don't think that's what bjh was implying. Or at least I hope not.

It's completely different than Wonderland. It's a very faithful adaptation of Lewis Carroll's original book, and the twist is mostly in the staging and look of it... rather than it being a brand new twist on the story.

Hope some of you will come out to see it. I think it'll be fun and we can hopefully raise a bundle for Project Night Night. Our previous benefits for A-STEP, GMHC, BC/EFA and The USO have all gone really well.

Beautiful Soup is theater for a cause, which is what I did all through college. When I graduated, I wanted to continue that as it always made the shows feel a little bit more special, a little bit more humble and a little bit more important at heart.

Hope you guys don't mind my posting the link. Just trying to get the word out there to any ALICE fans (like myself) who see any adaptation whenever, wherever!

A guy says the situations are not similar because Frankenstein and Young Frankenstein were terrible and another poster asks if by saying that he's implying that a whole different show is terrible. don't know what to say about that one.

Well, maybe you can all come and decide for yourself if it's better than (or [hopefully not] as bad as) WONDERLAND.

It should be fun for ALICE fans...

For those of you about to enter Wonderland withdrawal, come check us out at The SoHo Playhouse in three weeks!

$5.00 of every ticket goes to Project Night-Night, and we'll actually be inviting shelter kids to every performance, free of charge.

It's for a great cause, so don't mind me while I bump-bump-bump this thread over the next few weeks!
