Attended closing today. This production is brilliant and is such a 180 from what was a brilliant Broadway production, gone is the bright neon and its been replaced with the glow of old televisions, it just felt more gritty more vital more relevant, I've always felt this show was 10 years too soon and I was right, now is the time for this show, Kris Coleman is a brilliant narrator and Jamar Williams is great as youth even if he echoed Daniel Breaker a bit too much at times (during the talk back he mentioned he saw the broadway run and watches the film about once or twice a year) I also appreciated that versus the broadway production the cast was somewhat younger which I thought added to the story better in certain aspects.

Also shoutout to Taysha Marie Canales for in character yelling at someone to "get the **** off your cellphone" right before ripping into "Desi" which of course got a huge response from the audience

A bonus was Stew and Heidi being in the building, hearing Stews laughter through-out was amazing, and him and Heidi were talking outside with a big group of folks during intermission, some with notepads.

after talking to Heidi and some of the cast after it definitely is looking like this production is going to move to NYC although maybe not necessarily to broadway although I would say this would fit perfectly at the Hayes as part of Second Stages next season (the Wilma is about 300 seats so I would love for this to stay intimate)

I saw it multiple times, and echo what everyone has said here. I loved it and hope it has a continued life. From the cast recording and DVD I have never resllly cared about Act II but this cast totally changed that for me.

Yes thank you, also as much as i love stew, i was able to connect to the narrator so much more in the second act without going "its stew" every 10 seconds, the narrator became alot more of an everyman type with Kris playing him
