It's right near the Belasco. I'm not sure if it's literally next door, but if not, it's just a few down.

It's right next to the Belasco, (on the left). It's a spacious casual French Bistro with nice food. We always get the salmon, which is really delish. There's also salads, chicken, mussels, etc.
(The bar (inside left) is very nice, too. Little note: Sondheim used to hang at the bar during the previews of Follies back in 2001!?)

I never know where to eat when I go to midtown/hell's kitchen/theatre district, so I end up at Applebee's!

Tiny- Thanks.. I am doing it bec. I believe in PASSING STRANGE. I saw it and I like it. It's not very common now to get new musical that's original, creative and just pure raw talent. As I said a million times here... I think everyone should see PASSING STRANGE & IN THE HEIGHTS bec. we dont get this kinda of musicals anymore. I will be very disapointed if these musicals closed and does not get any recognition.

Broadway has always been a frontier of new ideas and new sound and PASSING STRANGE embodies both of it. Though its for everyone...its just me..but I would prefer to see 1 musical like this than see 6 or 7 unoriginal, generic and done that...kinda musicals...and I will be very happy and I should stand for what I TRULY BELIEVE... no matter how opinions are divided or unpopular.

Passing Strange is one man's journey to self-discovery and myself is not a stranger to that concept...that's why i can relate to the character & narrator. I wish people will see it with an open mind.

Its also nice to see this two musicals' main cast are minorities. Finally the time has come and that time is NOW!

and to Stew and the rest of creative team- Thank you for writting this musical.

Question for you: Do you like the "marquee"? I don't, and think the entire visual marketing concept should change...to something more pictorial and "happy"...any thoughts on this?

YankeeFan & blaxx have been a supporter of the show from the start. Yankeefan has always mentioned it after he saw it... Wanna Be A Foster also made comments that he like the show too a lot!

I actually like the marquee.. its soo psychedelic & funky.. I took photos of it...

I keep forgetting about 9th Ave. I keep on thinking about restaurants right by the theatres and there's like..Junior's or The Olive Garden, and I'm just like..meh.

I've never really dined right on 9th Ave, so any recommendations would be good. I've been to Wondee's. It's good.

I was about to mention you & blaxx. (probbably the most vocal here in the board in support of Passing Strange)

and also I really urge people who have not seen the show to see it. Dont be discourage by the lack of publicity.. its the show youre seeing not the marquee, not the radio ads, not the publicity... you will be doing youself a favor... exposing yourself to something different.

If youre refering to the PS review thread.. I am just joking.. I dont mean that in a mean way... Its kinda hard to get someone's real motiff when we are just posting...an example is Without A Trace... Everyone knew that I am friends with him now...

I had run-in with him during the XANADU previews...I met him in person..he told me that he does not like Xanadu.. when someone tell you that in person.. you get what they are trying to say...you mostly wont feel upset.. bec. they are there in person.. that's exactly what I am trying to convey...that i am just joking.. of course.. I respect people's decision... WaT does not like PS too and he told me that several times... since i met him in person.. I knew he is not saying that in any condescending way or tone...so its just a friendly joke..

I met him again when I saw Applause and he told me several times that he does not liek Xanadu...I really dont care...bec. i know him and I like him as a friend..of course
if I have never met him.. just seeing his post here.. I would probably feel a bit upset.. My point is I post excatly how I will say it in person..sometimes I probably dont come across as I want to be...but to disregard other people's opnion was not my intention...I have soo many friends here you dont like Passing Strange and they knew that my comments are just... I am joking and in way.. I am not saying that

Thanks, Jay*. I really appreciate hearing that from you. I now understand where you are coming from. There have been plenty of times that I have liked a certain show, but some of my friends did not share my enthusiasm.

It's very difficult to decifer other's intentions here when you have never met them in person.

Another thing...(in general) I am sorry to threadjack..

Its really really hard to second guess what other poster's reaction to what I am posting. I tried to post things the way I am...I knew some people made a comment that I posted a half naked guy with ropes..Again I am just joking and certainly no pun intended.

I am a bit crazy in person..Posters who met me in person can attest to that.. I am a gay men and i like guy's body...I just CANNOT change bec. people expect to be somebody else.. I am still gonna be the crazy "jay" who likes photos and who likes to joke around .. I am not a saint and I make mistakes.. I am what I am...

I am certainly here to post bec. I love theater...that's all.. I am not here to win Mr. Congeniality Contest. I tried to be nice to everyone..and I know in my heart that I wont pleased everyone...its just the way it is...

I have seen some of her post on PS and of course I dont get upset with her bec. I have met here and she does not mean it that way..
