sorry if this has been discussed already, but has anyone tried to Passion rush recently? I see it's subject to availability. Anyone know if they've been having good availability?

I tried for the matinee last Wed. Got there at like 1:45. Show was sold out but I was put on a waiting list. They sell the tix about 10 til curtain. I've never had an issue at CSC.

I meant whether it was the $20 student rush or this new $40 one they've started (I read about that somewhere). Sorry for the confusion.

I hadn't heard anything about a $40 rush. Is this something that happened after the rave reviews came out?

The press release of the extension mentions a general rush of $40. I will DEFINITELY be trying. Student rush is still $20, but you have to have an ID. A great idea I think!

I wonder though (and maybe this is what dave1606 was initially asking) if there are no rush tickets, and you get waiting list tickets, do they sell them to you at full price or rush price?

I am thinking about doing the rush line this weekend (satuday evening) for Passion.

what do you think my chances are in getting two seats next to each other? what time do you recommend I stand in line?

thank you :)

I rushed this past Sat night. The way it works is you show up two hours before curtain and get your name on a list. They have two sections General Rush and Student Rush. General Rush gets priority and then they give whats left if any to Student. I was 3rd in line and shortly after we put our names down the first two were given seats and then we waited until right before curtain and my friend and I were given general admission tickets and the House Manager just put us in a pair of seats that were open. I guess its kind of up in the air as to what you'll get or if you can sit together. I'd say definitely show up 2 hours before even though for some reason the box office didn't open until 7 on Sat.

Tried tonight- the performance was sold out, so only two people got in from thr waiting list. On the plus side, I got to see Sondheim walk in!
