Amen to that.

I must say though... shouldn't the character be portrayed a bit older?

I know Patina and she's fairly fresh. She doesn't really come off as "older" (for a 24 year-old, I mean)

They have revamped the storyline and set it in the disco era...making Deloris a disco diva...probably Donna Summer-like...so I can totally see Patina as that.

Yeah, Whoopi said on "The View" that it is basically another retelling of the same story. She said you can never beat the original, so therefore they're doing something new. Which I think is a great idea.

I saw the show numerous times in Los Angeles. The plot is basically the same with these additions:

1. different era
2. little love story between cop and Deloris
3. further character development

I personally cannot wait to see this new cast. This is now my fave show, after Phantom of course.
