re: Lion King VEGAS - is it different?

I love what they did with Phantom and hoped they might add a little zip to Lion King.
Lion King VEGAS - is it different?

Is the Lion King at Mandalay Bay Vegas going to be souped up like Phantom?

Reminds me of my experience watching Curtains in LA.
re: Patina Miller Cast as 'Deloris' in SISTER ACT Musical; Hancock & Lavend

I saw the show numerous times in Los Angeles. The plot is basically the same with these additions:

1. different era
2. little love story between cop and Deloris
3. further character development

I personally cannot wait to see this new cast. This is now my fave show, after Phantom of course.

re: Whoopi confirms 'Sister Act: The Musical'

Any casting updates? inside knowledge?

re: Whoopi confirms 'Sister Act: The Musical'

I had the pleasure of seeing this show 5 times in Pasadena, CA and I am so excited that it may come to Broadway. Hoping they cast Beth Malone and Amy Murray in their prospective roles from the Pasadena/Atlanta run.
ALW's PHANTOM in the OC

So tonight I saw The Phantom of the Opera for something like the 55th time. Yes, I am a PHANATIC! It was nice to see some new faces in the cast. Everyone except one of the managers was new. As for the quality of the cast, it was exceptional. The young lady who played Christine (Sara Jean Ford) is now my 2nd all-time fave behind Lisa Vroman. Raoul (Greg Mills) was my other favorite in the cast. Fit the role so well and had a great voice.

You're probably wondering how the actor was who p

I am personally glad it is closing. Can't believe I wasted $100 on it.
5 shows in 5 days (my trip review)

This past week I was in NYC and saw the following shows:

Young Frankenstein
Mary Poppins
Spamalot
Hairspray
Forbidden Broadway

I'd have to say that overall my favorite was Mary Poppins. Mind you I am not a big fan of the film or Disney in general, but there was something magical about it. Spamalot was absolutely hilarious! Clay Aiken rocked as Sir Robin and various other characters. Even got a pic with him at the stage door (see below). Hairspray was excellent, though I think I like the film more. Young Frankenstein was a big disappointment. A lot of things were done well, such as, choreography, sets, lighting, effects, acting, singing, haha. But the music was so bland and unmemorable that it killed it for me. But, I got pics with Megan Mullaley and Andrew Martin (see below). That smoothed things over :).

Young Frankenstein violin?

Why didn't Mel use the theme from the original film with the violin in the new show? I loved it.
Reviews of Clay in Spamalot?

I saw Clay this past Saturday. He was awesome. Great comic timing!! Also very generous at the stage door. Definitely check him out.
Visiting 1/17-1/21 Questions???

What shows should I not miss? Anyone thoughts on the Millennium Broadway hotel? I'm a big fan of Phantom, Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods, and Disney stuff to give you an idea of my taste. I dislike Curtains, Sweeney Todd, Titanic, Color Purple, and Chorus Line. What about sights that are not be missed? Thanks so much!! I am so excited.
