It was wonderful and awful at the same time. Great concert with outstanding selections. Both women were in fine voice and delivered old favorites, little-known gems and a couple of unfamiliar beautiful songs. It was fun to hear Audra sing "Gorgeous" and "Will He Like Me". And I was especially pleased to hear Patti perform "Meadowlark" and "The Ladies Who Lunch", the latter fits her like a glove.

The awful were the damn cicadas, which were non-stop, as well as the audience chit-chat, which was also non-stop. We had to ask several groups of people to be quiet so we could hear the performance. Even the people who walked up to the orchestra seating to view the concert stood there carrying on conversations in full voice. It was hideous. We took off after the final number and didn't stick around for the encores.

Patti sang a gorgeous new song that sounded like something by Ahrens and Flaherty. Does anyone who was there know the name of the song?

This Wonderful Town thing with Patti and Audra really does seem likely. I know Patti wants to do it.

But Patti and Audra as sisters. interesting. Not that it really matters in a concert.

A couple of friends were there and said it was unbelievable.

I would have given my left foot to be there.

Apparently, the name of the song I asked about was "The Glamorous Ones".

I would basically die to hear Patti sing The Ladies Who Lunch.

It sounds incredible. Did they both sing "Not a Day Goes By"?

Audra sang Not a Day Goes By, but I believe it was sort of wrapped in a medley with another song, though I forget which.

The article seems to believe Patti sang it also.

I think the article confused the song with "Losing My Mind", which Patti sang.

Wish I could've been there. I really enjoy reading everyone's reviews. I would kill to hear Patti's Losing My Mind, I bet it's phenomenal.

It was a great show... I got really excited when Patti sang Buenos Aires (to hear her sing it live, WOW!)

ETA: the burp was hilarous!

Mister Matt, I think the song is called "I Was Here" and it's from "The Glorious Ones" which is a new Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens musical. It had its premiere in Pittsburgh and it's playing the Mitzi Newhouse with Marc Kudisch, Erin Davie, and a host of others in October.
