Has anyone seen this concert by Patti LuPone? Thoughts? Song list?

I'm seeing it when it comes to a theater near me in May, and want some opinions on what I'm in for! I know she'll be great, but just wanted to know what you all think.

Edit: fixing the subject. Whoops! Updated On: 1/26/07 at 10:39 PM

PatPatti?

Coulda Woulda Shoulda is the best of her one-woman shows. You will have an amazing time.

I saw it, it is all the roles she 'coulda, woulda, and shoulda' played. I remeber An English Teacher, Neverland, Don't Rain on my Parade, Don't Cry For Me Argentina (although she played that) and the Millers daughter.

She sings "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina"? I'm excited by that, but rather surprised, given her history with ALW...

Does she sing "Being Alive"?

Thanks for the opinions (and info!), waiter and neddy. Any others?

I think you mean "The Miller's Son"...unless she's trying it with a lesbian slant that doesn't fit well with the patter.

I saw it a few years ago at Carnegie Hall, and it was brilliant. Her version of "Easy to Be Hard" was so beautiful, and (surprisingly enough) her "Soliloquy" from Carousel made it sound as though she'd always been singing it.

It's a shame this one hasn't been recorded yet.

I was also at Carnegie Hall and loved the evening. Her "Miller's Son" (even with blanked words) was amazing. Her "Meadowlark" stunning and her West Side Story bit was hilarious. she'd simply point in the air for the Maria highnotes she wouldn't sing. funny.

It was such a wonderful night and I also wish this would've been recorded by now. My guess is that it's time has passed and we have to settle for the post Torch act to come.

I got front row seats to it in Morgantown (That's right, I'm goin' to West Virginia all for Patti Lu) two days after my birthday!

I cannot wait to actually see her sing 100 Years From Today, Soliloquy, A Boy Like That, Losing My Mind, and DCFMA live!

I hoping it will some day be recorded, both of her solo albums are from her (sold out) Carnegie Hall performances.

Really? Did she ever do Matters of the Heart at Carnegie Hall? I saw it at Lincoln Center (Vivian Beaumont Theatre).

"Soliloquy?" Interesting. I would almost pay just to see that.

A wonderful show. She gets to show her amazing range, humor, pathos--everything. And the Peter Pan bit is genius--her doing the pose made me laugh for days everytime I thought of it.

Is anyone going to see this concert in Morgantown tomorrow night?

I have front row seats and I could not be more excited, if there's any BWWers there, I'd love to meet you!
