Posted: 2/20/06 at 9:11pmShe also might not mind comments about Evita because, isn't it true she really enjoyed working with Mandy Patinkin and Hal Prince? I could be wrong.

Posted: 2/20/06 at 9:28pmWell, she auditioned for the role of Evita to make a contact with Hal Prince. So, I'd say yes.

Posted: 2/20/06 at 9:53pmI was watching a Broadway's Lost Treasures DVD, and during "A New Argentina" when Patti LuPone sang "understands you, is one of you!" and the high parts like that, especially the first time, her lips forming the sounds, and the sounds, were off synch with each other. What's up with that? Lip-synching scandal? Also, I herd a rumor that the high E (I think) at the end of Christine's Phantom of the Opera was pre-recorded. Anybody know?

I'm not sure about Lost Treasures.
It is possible the video was just off - if was a DVD.

Posted: 2/21/06 at 3:58pmI remember back in 1999, Patti appeared on THE ROSIE O'DONNELL SHOW and gave Rosie a signed EVITA playbill and other memorabilia for some charity or something. And at the 1998 Tonys, Patti performed one verse and chorus of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," if memory serves. So, no, I don't think she has any ill-feelings toward the show.
