I'm looking forward to catching the first show this evening. This will be my third time seeing Patti at 54 Below and I think it's a great space to enjoy her up close and personal. Anyone else going to see her tonight or during her stint at 54 Below?

Posted: 2/14/13 at 1:28amI know this is a ridiculous question, but I must ask anyway. I ordered a ticket for Patti's show through a broadway website, not 54 Below. Anyway, the transaction went through, so I thought I was good to go--email confirmation and everything. Today, I received a phone call that they were mistaken and she was sold out---they offered me credit, but who cares??? I wanna see Patti!!! I looked on every website--stub hub, broadway.com, etc. I can't find a ticket! Does anyone know someone who has an extra??? I have a $200.00 gift certificate for Broadway.com in exchange for a ticket--any ticket-- for this show....seriously.....please contact me if you know anyone. Thanks so much. Fosse225@aol.com is the email I use more oftem than my yahoo address.

I saw the show Tuesday, and it was really great. In addition to previously mentioned The Way You Look Tonight and -- I Don't Do Anything Twice. She told lots of funny stories and was very loose and playful. Just a really memorable night.
Wish I could help on the ticket. You could always call them about a wait list.

I think it's better to go to these things to experience a legend in a small venue, singing on a rare intimate level. That's what she's there for. She may have old friends there to see her. She may be tired after the 2nd show or conserving her energy between shows.
If your goal is to meet her, you may end up disappointed--and what would be the point of spending money on a cover charge and minimum only to be disappointed?
Better to decide to have a lovely time, sit back, order a cocktail or two or some nice dessert, drink in the wonderful 54 Below atmosphere and the buzz in the room, let the gift of Patti's music wash over you and let it be just that?
