Perhaps you are confused as to where Penn and Teller are performing for the next few weeks 
(They are on Broadway)

Goodness, this is not a thread where I was asking for your opinion on what constitutes art or what you feel should and should not be on Broadway. I was asking about rush tickets. If you don't have information on that perhaps you should post your thoughts on one of the other Penn and Teller threads.

P&T have performed together for over 40 years. They started in NYC. This is not the first time they have done Broadway.

These are two terrific entertainers who have ALSO appeared in a Broadway musical. They're also great friends of the theatre community and terrific guys. I'm happy to see them on Broadway, even if I can't afford a ticket.

Next time if you're going to say something stupid, do us all a favor and try and research before you speak and make yourself look like a fool.
This isn't the duos first time on Broadway. Their first Broadway engagement was in 1987 then another one in '91 and now the current show at the marquis.

There is no definition of what Broadway "should be." It's a street and a few buildings.
And at any rate, Penn's closing monologue on performance, risk, and commitment is just as, if not more moving than most of the shows I've seen this year.

Wrt OP's question, rush today was easy, no idea if it's typical. I arrived at box office around 10:20. Seats were orch sides.

Penn & Teller were an Off-Broadway act. Then a Broadway act. Then, later, Vegas. Know what you're talking about before indiscriminately slamming real New York theatre pros. Their brand of entertainment predates dramatic musicals on Broadway.

Vitamins: I totally agree. Penn's work in this show is very touching, that last monologue is really something to see.
He accesses visions of his childhood and ultimately reminds us of why we go to the theatre in the first place.
Both Penn and Teller walk right out of the show into the lobby and stay to sign autographs and take pictures with EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE AUDIENCE.
It's unbelievable. They are real theatre folks, for sure.

I'm working on this show right now actually as a Production Assistant and so happy to read the last few messages and can't agree more, especially with the above. Both Penn and Teller are showman, and care so deeply about this business and what they do. You would think after 40 years they would have some sort of ego and know how great they are. But, no, completely the opposite. They are some of the nicest people i've ever encountered in this business and getting to work with them every day has been the biggest treat. They care a great deal about their audience and never take anything they do for granted. They will stay and talk to every single person until the lobby is empty. 2 off broadway runs, 3 broadway runs including this one. Teller is also incredibly interested in theatre outside of their show. Tuesday is our dark day and he took yesterday to fly to Chicago as he is directing a production of The Tempest as Chicago Shakespeare Festival. Theatre is their first love, that's why they are doing this show now.
