Thye new title for the phantom sequel ...Hmmmm

Well, it's better than the last title.
"At last I can reveal the title: PHANTOM 2 - The Courtship of Christine Sex Doll #21"
Love Never Dies? How generic. But I do agree that it's better than the other title.
As long as they dont include "phantom" at all in the title then i think it has a chance. Even though it is a sequel, the key i believe is to disassociate the 2 products as much as possible. Every one will know it is the sequel, so it does not need to be titled or marketed that way.
Phantom 2 The Project never dies.
OMG soo clever, Winston!
You should write the Phantom sequel.
Thanks TDH, I try.
As a long time Phantom obsessor and defender of Lloyd Webber's musical as one of the more legitimate retellings of Leroux's story, I am compelled to note that each new development in this "sequel" saga--which I am still convinced is a joke--makes me want to gouge my brain out with a candelabra.
Why why why why why.
We've been calling it Phantom 2: Electric Boogaloo. I prefer my title

insertclevernamehere, if that were the actual title, I would see it.

Ha, I posted something similar to that back when we were first hearing that the plot would follow Phantom of Manhattan, in all its Coney Island glory:
If we're recycling concept posters:

Like the title. MUCH improved.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the graphics ecven more, however
I still say this does NOT need to happen
PS- Those of you with the artwork ideas, you're very talented. Please keep them coming!!!
I bet he'll launch "Phantom 2," everyone will come see it with absurdly low expectations, and it'll turn out to be a completely original show that has nothing to do with Phantom at all that will be his best show ever, surpassing any other musical on earth.
At least, that's what I'm hoping. It's the only way I can imagine this whole sequel shindig working out in his favour.
That, or else AFTER the intentionally terrible flop of Phantom 2, he releases his masterwork.
Fake posters = amazing. Maybe if this whole thing were marketed as a Springtime For Hitler, intentionally terrible sort of MST3K sort of thing, people would actually come see it.
How about "Phantom 2...JK LOL"
My first thought after reading the title - "Phantom Never Dies"
I have always been an avid defender of Lloyd Webber.
But this project ... I just don't get it. Not at all.
I think the only way this project should exsist would be to record it as a concept album the way he did JSC and Evita.
I think it would force the music (and sometime medicore lyric-craft done by other writers *cough, hart, cough* ) to tell a strong story. Because at this point, a strong story is the only thing that would save this production from the bad vibe that seems to resonate with everyone.
If the concept album was a hit then they could fishing for a director/producer.
At this stage it seems like it's going to be a waste of the producer's money.
But then again, I would like to be proven wrong. I love a good ALW score.
One other thought, if they can put THE LIKES OF US on record then ALW can afford a Phantom 2 concept album.

Phantom 2 : Lost in New York has been my favorite so far. haha
My first thought:
Greed never dies.
This isn't clever, but it is the way I feel about this whole project.
Greed may never die, but stupidity dies even less if they think they are actually going to make a profit on this!
