Lea Michele would definitely be a strong contender for best actress. It’s a shame she won’t be eligible for the real thing, I do think Sonia Friedman had something planned to make up for that. Maybe a performance on the tony awards?

Musical - Kimberly Akimbo (though Some Like It Hot would take it if it had a better score)
Musical Revival - Into the Woods
Leading Actor in a Musical - Brian D'Arcy James, Into the Woods
Leading Actress in a Musical - Sara Bareilles, Into the Woods (I'd give it to both her and Victoria Clark if I could, as much as I wish Luna could have it)
Featured Actor in a Musical - Cole Thompson, Into the Woods
Featured Actress in a Musical - Carolee Carmello, 1776
Didn't really think I'd be handing out 4 awards to Into the Woods, but these performances have really stayed with me
Play - Cost of Living (though having seen Life of Pi, that would most likely be my pick for the season overall)

What would be the precise category for this award?"

Whether or not someone is actually eligible is REALLY REALLY important for a thread on an internet forum that is called the PHONYS and is essentially just an avenue for people to share the shows and performances that have stood out to them in the last 6 months."

Oops, my bad. I was obviously unclear on the concept. Please allow me to make up for it.
Leading actor impersonating an historically male character in a musical - the first person who stood in for the miscast initial lead, The Music Man.

(Category descriptions were designed so as not to embarrass my grandchildren.)
For those of you young whippersnappers out there who want to get some idea of how far off (in parsecs) this revival was from the original, here is how My White Knight was meant to sound.
