Does this boy have a gorgeous smile or what?
"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

His publicist must be working double shifts. Is there any event Young doesn't turn up at? Now even his birthday is a photo op. What next?
Faced with these Loreleis, what man can moralize!

I was thinking the same thing.
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."

I love JLY. Honest I do. But his big, dazzling, smile is so ominpresent, that he's starting to look like the male version of Julia Roberts.

Or worse, he's a male version of Tom Cruise. And we know how unhinged Tommy boy has become behind HIS smile.

John, you have our permission to frown occasionally.

It was actually a relief to see him NOT smiling in the "Behind the Scenes at Jersey Boys" video at Broadway.com.

I don't mean to be a sourpuss, but I just don't trust people who smile ALL the time.

I agree with you. He needs to stop smiling, excuse me for being cynical, but he does. He seems like he's going to explode, and it does seem quite fake.

The reason why you always see him smile is because you always see him in posed photographs. That's what people do, they smile. Leave the boy alone. He's a great guy and we're lucky to have him in the Broadway community.

You're right that it seems mean-spirited to criticize someone for smiling.

But when I think of people in showbiz who smile an awlful lot, I flash back to the Osmonds. And those people and their massive teeth used to frighten me when I was little.

If you won a Tony, you'd be smiling all the time too. I'm just sayin'...
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer

"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

Yeah, leave John alone. It was his Birthday. Charlie Siedenberg, is a smart cookie, and very sweet.
John has had a brilliant year. Why shouldn't he smile. He won the Drama Desk, A Tony.. The Outer Critic Circle award.
The man should smile. He has gone from an usher to a star in less than a year. Wouldn't you smile.
I would not close my mouth. I would smile in my sleep.
Stop the bitching!

Give him an orchid for his dressing room.

Actually, I Like John and I hope he becomes a big star in theater, TV AND films if that is his desire.

I just wish he'd take the huge grin down to maybe a half smile occasionally.

Btw, didn't he star in a film? Was it feature length? Was it good?

And she belongs to him so back off!

That's our Core, right there to bring awareness of women's issues to the masses. How much did he pay for her, Corine?

PEACE.

I would not close my mouth.

...

I am looking for a job, if you have one let me know.

Form your own conclusions. Offer Corine your own thoughts on job openings.
