Posted: 3/2/10 at 6:18pmOK, I was there at Broadway Backwards 5 and I'm still not sure how and why Salonga chose this song. The vocals were good but as far as I know, Disney's HUNCHBACK has never been mounted on Broadway so this song stuck out because I believe this was the only song during the evening that DID NOT COME from a Broadway musical. Weird.

Posted: 3/2/10 at 7:50pmIf we want to get *technical*, Hunchback is a "movie-musical", and it was done as a stage musical in Berlin. It wasn't on Broadway, but still I consider it a "musical song".

The Disney HUNCHBACK was staged in Berlin, really? Didn't know that...
I concede that the song is from a movie musical, but that's still not a "Broadway" song as it's never been performed in a Broadway stage in a Broadway production.
