I hope I didn't start the negativity.

And I'm not basing my opinions of Aaron after that commercial, he doesn't really do anything in the commercial. I don't know if that was directed at me.

I guess the commercial in my head was a little different, haha. I guess I was just expecting a video similar to the ones on bww.com... even though they aren't commercials. I wonder if bww.com is going to do a video for Piazza.

Regardless, I can't imagine the feeling of seeing this commercial on TV! I've never seen a Broadway commercial on TV, but that would be so exciting! Just watching a tv show, then a Piazza commercial comes on, haha.

Joyce, you didn't start anything negative don't worry about it. I'm must be missing something here, cause I swear when I saw Piazza that Margaret's entrence in the "bed scene" happened just like the commercial. If not someone enlighten me as to what happens cause I'm confused now. I think the only point of the commecial is to let the people know that the show exists. The commercial's fine. Really it is.

That was neat. I think that seeing the clips from last years Tonys would get me to see the show more than that commercial would, and perhaps its because those Tony clips weren't as stylized...Though, the hat moment still is SO cute, it makes me smile :)

Are commercials for Broadway shows only played in major cities? I know that I would never see a commercial for a Broadway show in my location... so just curious to know if anyone has seen a commercial, and which show it was for.

I've seen commercials on T. V. for:

CATS (Had no idea what that thing was about.)
BOMBAY DREAMS
WONDERFUL TOWN
THE LION KING

And I live in a small suburb town in NJ where not a lot of kids are partial to theatre. A few are, but my town is more of the low brow, football, Napolean Dynamite Crowd.

I feel your pain, Kangaroo, I usually don't see Broadway commercials, so when a commercial for a National Tour comes on, I get very happy :)

The closest a national tour comes is 2 hours away!

You poor guys. Not to be arrogant, but I live about 30 minutes outside the city witout traffic. I wish I could live in it, though.

Not often, but I see them. They usually air in the morning, and I'm in school at that time.

I apologize for my negativity. I do not live in New York, and when I'm there, I rarely watch tv (cause that would be SUCH a waste of time) so I've never seen a commercial for a show...so I have no point of reference...but if ya'll think it's good, I guess it's good.

Jazzysuite82: Yes I guess it does happen that way in the show, but she doesn't just stand there and gawk at them, she is shocked. I think it would have been a better effect if they used that timing instead of her just showing up in the background...but everyone is right, it's just a commercial...I just hope it brings more people to the theatre!
