Piazza commercial now online

Go to this website:

http://www.lct.org/calendar/event_detail.cfm?ID_event=34551107

Scroll down a tad, and it's on the center right of the screen.

It's 30-seconds long... and I know it was mentioned here before, I just wanted to let you know you can now see it for yourself. I was disappointed that it was Aaron, even know I know he is the new Fabrizio. It bums me out that they started doing these things after Matty left... There is no commercial with Matty in it! Regardless, I don't know if I particularly like it... it's exciting to see a commercial for it though! Kelli changes the note in the title song... [and I think Victoria is wearing a different outfit]. I don't want to seem negative, because I was excited to see a Piazza commercial.

re: Piazza commercial now online

I thought the show was not really material for a commercial (Ducks things thrown at him by PIAZZA fans.) but I'm glad it has some publicity. Aaron as Fabrizio, though, looks like he has a nose fracture. Of course, I'm biased becaused I saw it with Matt in it, but I'm open to a new interpretaion. I like it, though. It's gorgeous.

I just think it's funny that someone with the name "Piazzaslight" has to duck from Piazza fans.

My grandma said she saw it on TV.

I love that they showed one my favorite scenes. Margaret walking in on the two of them.

re: Piazza commercial now online

I just saw it on TV...it's very cheap looking.

But there IS a lyric that goes "No one's gonna hurt you, no one's gonna dare..."

Munkustrap-I agree with you. It does look kinda cheap. It also looks a bit, I don't know if I want to use the word "forced", but I'm going to use it anyway. It looks a bit "forced"

re: Piazza commercial now online

I'm bummed that Matt is not in there. 99% of the time in TV commericals they use the original cast, gosh darn it!

re: Piazza commercial now online

I don't like it. I don't like the singing with the scenes in the background kind of thing. Not knowing the shows and just seeing that commercial probably wouldn't entice me to see it much.

re: Piazza commercial now online

Oh yeah. I feel dumb. Especially since I just listened to the OBC today.

Thanks for fixing me up.

I think I was just trying to comfort the poor chap and those words seemed most appropriate.

Hmm..a bit cheesy, but it was pretty good. Hell it would make me interested if I didn't know about it.

re: Piazza commercial now online

Hmm...it does seem a bit..."forced"...especially the bedroom scene...like 1. remove shirt 2. kiss chest 3. kiss Fabrizio 4. Cue Margaret's entrance!...but i still love that scene!

Did anyone else think that when Kelli O'Hara showed up superimposed over the scene that she was going to say how much she loves her new car insurance policy or something like that? I seems a lot like one those commercials for "the law offices of so and so" or something...I still liked it because it's PIAZZA! But it certainly doesnt do justice to the show at all...

umm that's the way it happens in the show isn't it? Guys it's a commercial. I love how everyone's critiquing a commercial. LOL it can't be, "Oh cool Piazza's got a commercial. Good I'm tired of seeing the Mamma Mia commercials". There's always something to nitpick at.

re: Piazza commercial now online

It was not that way in the show...and yes it is a commercial...but a commercial is supposed to be a 30 second love letter to the show not an awkward misrepresentation...i'm only concerned that it's not a very appealing commercial and that it won't help the appeal of the show, but I hope I'm completely off base because I absolutely LOVE this show, and want to see it achieve every success possible.

Hmmmm...'cheap', 'forced', 'awkward' - whatever. I'm just so glad to be able to re-watch a few moments from this show. The goose-bumps came again when the hat lifts into the air. Such great memories of an afternoon in the Piazza...Thanks, korenglish, for posting the link.

re: Piazza commercial now online

I don't really know what to write, and I feel like I am wasting my time, but Dear God people. Its a commercial for television, that is supposed to appeal to the masses. Every single Broadway Television is totally cheesy, that's what they do. Does anyone remember the "You'll Miss Saigon!" commercials? Yes its not like the show, but it's cute. What did you expect?

Grow up. And for some of you to base your opinions on Aaron from a commercial, where he says NOTHING, and just on looks is really complete idiocy. He's not as good looking as Matt, so he couldn't possibly be good in the role. News flash, Matt isn't even that good looking. I think Aaron is more attractive...

re: Piazza commercial now online

First of all, Aaron looks more Italian. Second of all, like others have said. It is a freaking commercial! Am I the only one who recalls those God awful cheesy "I Love NY" Broadway commercials that ran in the 80's? I think it they did a good job with the commercial. It looks like a musical soap opera which will appeal to all those folks who watch their "stories".

re: Piazza commercial now online

I don't see TV that much, so it'll be lucky if I catch it but I wonder what songs they're doing. "Say it Somehow" I imagine.

It was the radio ads and what I had heard about Floyd Collins that got me interested in seeing the show.
