Hi all, I am returning to NYC for a conference in April and I need help picking shows. I will have the opportunity to see 4 shows this trip and can't decide. One show is a sat matinee and I am considering doing the Hamilton or DEH cancellation lines. The shows I haven't seen but I am interested in are: Sunset Blvd, Sunday in the park, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, War Paint, Oslo, Miss Saigon, Amelie, and Anastasia. I have also seen Natasha and would consider seeing it again (along with Ham and DEH). Thanks!

If you like Lupone and Ebersole, WAR PAINT is a must.
SUNSET BOULEVARD is a must. Limited engagement, 40-piece orchestra, Glenn Close, 'nuff said. I saw MISS SAIGON last night, and I really enjoyed it. It's worth seeing for Jon Jon Briones' performance alone. I also saw COME FROM AWAY yesterday matinee, and I loved it. I have friends who saw ANASTASIA pre-Broadway, and said it was great. Also, GROUNDHOG DAY is opening, and it got raves in London.

You've already picked. Try to get Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen in as soon as possible. Check on-line for tickets in the days prior to the show for premium and house seats to be released at regular price. You can always walk over and get a rush ticket for Sunset Blvd (or even War Paint if you've never seen Patti or Christine) at the last minute most likely. They both also have standing room if they do sell out. Dear Evan Hansen will sell standing room when they open if you don't mind waiting in line for a few hours early in the morning. Sunday in the Park with George you can also rush in the morning if you get there early. Also, of course try the on-line lottos for Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton as well even though they're both a long shot.
Sunset for sure, but I wouldn't get a rush ticket, because it has been selling out Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays...and it was almost sold out last Thursday too. The only day where there was availability was on Wednesday. I think they only had a few balcony tickets to Sunset on Thursday, but I wouldn't recommend those seats.
