Pippa from "Facts Of Life" a Musical Star!

We now have an answer to one of the most persistant questions of our time...What happened to the girl who played "Pippa", the Australian exchange student on NBC's "Fact of Life"?

She is playing "Bonnie" in the new musical "Bonnie and Clyde".

How long till Natalie in "The Light In The Piazza"?

Pippa's bio:

SHERRIÉ AUSTIN (Bonnie). One of country music’s rising stars, Sherrié is making her New York stage debut with this production. Born in Sydney, Australia, Sherrie began performing at 13 and by age 15, she was touring with Johnny Cash. At 17, she moved to the States to join the cast of the NBC sitcom “The Facts Of Life” as Pippa McKenna. After appearing in films such as Call From Space, Exile, Shadows Of The Heart and An American Summer, she moved to Nashville to return to her country music roots. She released her first solo album, Words, in 1997. Her other albums include Love In The Real World, Followin' A Feelin' and Streets of Heaven. Her hit country music singles include Lucky in Love, One Solitary Tear, Never Been Kissed, Jolene and Streets of Heave

I love Sherrie Austin! Her voice is Incredible. I wish I could see this. I wonder how she is on stage. Thanks for the notice.

BTW I think JO will join the cast of 'DOUBT' before NATALIE lands in the 'PIAZZA'

Time for a "Tootie as Elphaba?" thread! I'd say Blair, but I think she turned all scary Christian a la Kirk Cameron.

But say. I'd bet Mrs. Garrett would be good in some stage productions.

Mrs. Garrett WOULD be good in a stage production?! Charolette Rae was in the original casts of THE THREEPENNY OPERA and LI'L ABNER in the 1950s!

I saw Mrs. Garrett play Jack's Mom in the 1st national tour in 1988! Have the playbill somewhere.

Admittedly, I don't listen to much Country music - but my Mom does, and I really like Sherrie's voice. And I had totally forgotten she was the Facts of Life girl. Wow. Talk about full circle...somehow...
