For all you Pirate Queen fans...There is a great picture and blurb about the show in next month's Oprah magazine. It is the March edition and is already on the stands with Oprah in a fierce green dress on the cover. Yes, I am fully admitting that I read Oprah magazine. But with plugging one of my favorite shows, I may have to get a subscription now.
I don't ever see Broadway shows featured in the magazine, except for The Color Purple of course. Great publicity for The PQ! KEEP IT COMING!
On a side note...maybe she should plug The Color Purple more these days. I hear it's been struggling during the winter season.

Anyone got a scan? Is it a new picture?
This is great, hopefully she'll have the show perform something on her show. Whoot!

You're welcome Popular. Thanks for scanning the article! Great picture, isn't it? Anyone who thinks the costumes might not be nominated need just look at this photo. Every piece is so detailed. I love the look of this show. I'm dying to see it again with all the new changes!
P.S. The try out for this show was in Chicago so if Oprah was ever going to have them on, it would have been then. With this article being in "The place to be" section I can only guess Oprah or someone from her camp saw the show in Chicago and liked it. Glad I'm not the only one.

I seem to be bad luck for any opening show. Anything that I am SERIOUSLY looking forward to ends up bombing:
Little Women, Lestat....
Hopefully this won't be the case with PQ. Or with Young Frankenstein, although I can't see it happening with the later.

Caught the show in Chicago. One big borefest! It just dragged and dragged and dragged. You lose interest in the story almost immediately.
Queen Elizabeth's costumes were incredible, but the show...BORING!
Judging by what I overheard during intermission and at the end of the show -- everyone agreed with me.
Unfortunately, the show IS a huge one, so it'll be one to close rather quickly to prevent losing more money.
