Why does playbill still have Fiddler running? Every week they keep adding the shows to its total as if it were still open? This week it made it onto the list.

(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

I've actually e-mailed Ernio Hernandez to tell him that Fiddler closed on Jan. 8 two weeks ago, but I guess he never read it or didn't do anything about it. By the summer it'll be over 1,000.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Also the performance totals for Beauty and the Beast, Rent, Chicago, and the Lion King don't match up with ibdb.com.

I'm not sure which site is correct though, but I'd think ibdb.com would be somewhat more reliable.

I'd really like to know if any is sure about Chicago's performance totals because I'd like to go to the 4000th show, which would be sometime in mid-June. If anyone knows I'd really appreciate it, CJR maybe?

According to Theatermania, Lion King is still running in Boston; it's an open run. Any other mistakes anyone catch anywhere?

I think there's parts of the Playbill site that many members of this board could do a better job with than the writers who work there. For example, why hasn't the Rush/SRO page been updated since November 15th? Surely it couldn't have been THAT hard to put together.
