I don't like wearing a bra. See? Nothing to do with rent or wicked.

I hope that Kevin McKidd of the HBO series Rome, does a Broadway musical. The guy has major acting chops and a sterling tenor singing voice.
Word has it that he turned down a role in The Woman in White on the West End to star in Rome.

The Spelling Bee cast recording makes me smile.
In the past month, I saw In My Life, Fiddler with Harvey, and today, Woman in White. Michael Ball is great. I did a thread on that under Woman in White. Next month, DRS, again!!!!!!!!! I just got tixs for Color Purple and Doubt for February.
I go on the this board multiple times a day and have never seen a show on Broadway.
saw Chita and Jersey Boys this past week and they were both extremely mediocre (my reviews will be posted tomorrow).

I love Phantom of the Opera and Aida. They are two amazing shows that I can see everyday if I could.
Sure, up until about two years ago, I thought Mary Testa was kind of obnoxious onstage. TOTALLY changed my tune now. First Lady Suite was FABULOUS and SWIWS, if on broadway, would win that girl a tony!
Light In The Piazza should run forever at Lincoln Center.
My favorite musical ever, when done well, is CAROUSEL.
I am obssesed with NINE, and virtually all of my favorite actors are my NINE girls (Well, they aren't MY Nine girls. But I do think a lot of them are INSANE in the talent department)

I agree whole-heartedly with everyone who has said good things about DRS, that show is a riot.
I finally managed to pick up the Producers movie recording and like what I hear. It has a lot of life to it, a lot of energy.
Lately I've been listening a lot to Ragtime; tick, tick...BOOM!; and The Last 5 Years.
For a while now I have wanted to know what Brian Stokes Mitchell would be like in Phantom. (Which reminds me: when are those new solo albums he's working on coming out?)
One of the clearest images of any show I've ever seen ingrained in my memory is when Alfred Molina walked on stage at the beginning of Fiddler and just chuckle for a moment and took a breath before starting that opening monologue. He automatically connected with the audience that night in a way I've never seen before or since.
Alex LaVelle- what you just said about Alfred Molina is beautiful, and I agree whole- heartedly!!

You read my mind! I was just thinking the other day how amazing that would be.
I would love to see Patti Lupone in Sweeney Todd but being on the other side of the globe it is unlikely.

Aren't Broadway prices expensive? $110 for a top ticket. I've returned to London where prices are more reasonable, say £40 for a top price ticket. Saw "You Never Can Tell" last night with Edward Fox and Diana Quick. Very witty and stands the passage of a century well. Only £22.50 at tkts -that's probably less than $40!
Hope to see Woman in White in next couple of weeks. Tkts told me you can get discount tickets except at weekends
