Hi All,
I am looking for song recommendatons for an 8 year old girl to sing to her brother at his Bar Mitzvah. Her voice is very strong for an 8 year old so don't hold back! It can be a Broadway song, Standard or Popular - just something that is appropriate.
Thank you in advance!

This is a song to be sung by an 8 year old girl to a 13 year old boy. I don't think there is any song in FIDDLER that is appropriate.

I agree, wishihadatony..i really don't think "tradition" would fare well in that circumstance!

thanks Jwei123, I'm truly delighted you agree with me. Just cause FIDDLER is about Jewish people does not mean any of the songs are appropriate for an 8 year old girl to sing to her 13 year old brother at his Bar Mitzvah......If they have a traditional band at the celebration, they may very well play Sunrise Sunset, etc........songs from Fiddler are often played at bar/bat mitvahs.......But there is really no song from Fiddler for this little girl to sing to her older brother.
