In the song "I Speak Six Languages" from Spelling Bee, can someone please translate the things Marcy says?
MARCY [GIRLS]
Je peux parler six langues [Aaaaah]
Carda idio maes simple [Oooooh]
Jerro oh yo no reshipe no yesashesades [Sashades]
Ja gavaru shetz yatzukim [Yatzukim]
V'ani yodat shalom [Yodat shalom]
MARCY, GIRLS
Im noch mindesterns sieben mehr

"I can speak six languages" is the first line, I'm not so sure about the rest. I think the last one, in German, means "And seven more at least", but then it would have to be "Und noch mindestens sieben mehr", so perhaps someone mistranslated it?
ETA: Thanks for clearing that up, mef.

Mythus is right; Marcy is saying "And at least seven more" in German.

The last two lines then would be -
And I can say hello
in at least seven more
It's the same thing she sings in english, just translated into the six languages
Doesn't "Im" mean "in"?
I know "shalom" means hello or goodbye.

I think it's just the first chorus repeated:
I speak six languages
Every language easy
Easy as the recipe for making jello
I speak six languages
And I can say hello
In at least seven more
I only speak English, but I've got a good background in Latin as well, and the only words I can figure out work into the first chorus

I completely agree with Sarah - that's what I alwayas thought too.
And I took 4 semesters of Latin - yeah people who love dead languages!

I agree that it's the first chorus, translated into the six languages. The second line is garbled and should be "Cada idioma es simple," which means "Every language is easy" in Spanish.

Yes, it does, I didn't know what the previous lines were so I assumed it must be "Und", which means "And". The German line is a little garbled as well.
So that would make it...
1. French
2. Spanish
3. ??
4. Either Russian or Yiddish? Yiddish would be funny.
5. Hebrew, I think
6. German
It would make sense for Korean to be in here somewhere.
Isn't the third one Japanese (She is Asain)?

Yup. V'ani yodat shalom means "And I know hello/peace" in Hebrew.
