Podcast series on the films of Bob Fosse – with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rachel Zegler, and Colin Quinn

I saw this on Twitter and figured it might be of interest to some folks here: the "Blank Check" podcast (which covers director filmographies, hosted by David Sims, a critic from The Atlantic, and comedian Griffin Newman) has done a series of episodes on the feature films directed by Bob Fosse:

- Sweet Charity
- Cabaret (with guest Rachel Zegler)
- Lenny (with guest Colin Quinn)
- All That Jazz (with guest Lin-Manuel Miranda)
- next week they will release an episode on Fosse's final film, Star 80, and then will be discussing the films of Stanley Kubrick in the weeks that follow.

It was fun to hear Lin talk about ALL THAT JAZZ's impact on his life & work, and he brought some special research of his own to the episode! (Do be aware this is largely a comedy podcast with a few inside jokes that went over my head as an infrequent listener)

...and it also looks like they have a paid Patreon feed where they did an episode on the LIZA WITH A Z tv special. Flanked by episodes about Batman movies, which is perhaps a first for Ms. Liza!!

Lin played Roy Scheider in the ALL THAT JAZZ section of FX’s FOSSE/VERDON, which is why he has a fair share of “research” as he prepared extensively for his appearance on the limited series.
