Potential Avenue Q Lyric Change

I can't think of any, but I'd like to point out that the replacement would have to be two strongly-stressed syllables. It's also the climax of the things that are "for now," so it should be really good.

HOPEFULLY, this will be a real problem in January - and think of the reaction the line will get from November 12 through the inauguration of Kerry!
I think the best solution would be to have the line reflect whatever is in the news at the time - they could change it every week!

Hm, the obvious replacement doesn't fit:
"John Kerry" too many syllables, but I guess it could be used
"Kerry" doesn't sound right
I guess they could go with NYC mayor "Bloomberg"
And if/when Bush loses, the reaction to the line will be great. I'm talking like have-to-stop-the-song-because-theres-a-standing-ovation big.

Except Bloomberg actually does his job halfway decently. And he's a fake Republican, anyway. :P
But I'm sure they won't have too hard of a time finding something else to put in the Shrub's place.

Don't you mean "for then?" Or something. There's too much garbling of tenses for that to make sense.

What planet are you living on? Bloomberg is the worst mayor NYC has seen in many years.

How about "BOMBAY DREAMS!"
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

if (nad that's a BIG if) Bush loses (Heaven forbid...) I think they should change it to JOHN KERRY since there's a lot of people like me who HATE him and would cheer when that line comes up! But what do I know, i'm just a Republican =)

frankly to be entirely practical, they probably won't change the lyric at all
people know it was written when GW was president so why do they need to change it?
