Sorry Balladeer, but unfortunately the actions of a few, like the scripture-invoking Kathie Lee Gifford ("God has blessed me and Frank with the perfect marriage") f'rinstance, have ruined it for the truly righteous such as yourself.
Many of us have come to believe that there is significant overlap between the "What's wrong with thanking God?" community and the "Why does that man thank his male lover in his bio; why must the gays intrude their private lives down our throats?" community.
Frankly, I have come to believe that they thank God for their blessings in their bio, because it's easier to believe it is grace that put them where they are rather than bloodthirsty agents and managers who would screw over anybody to get their clients a gig.
Balladeer:
I guess you make valid points. I'll give you that. I just don't happen to find it particularly necessary. So I'll take your suggestion -- I'll skip down and read someone else's bio.
Which will make my Playbill perusal last 10.5 seconds. :)
One of my actress friends refuses to put anything personal in her bio, because she doesn't think it's anybody's business. I agree with her. Tell me what you've done. If I want to know more, I'll join the fan club. :)
once you mention it it pretty well solifies the rumors...hee hee
