Present Laughter or Groundhog Day?

I saw Present Laughter yesterday, so between the two, I would definitely recommend Groundhog Day, which I didn't see. Present Laughter or Groundhog Day?

Ouch.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Present Laughter or Groundhog Day?

Having seen both, I concur.

Not that there's anything wrong with PL, just that it's very similar to a bunch of other older comedy plays, and therefore that you'll be able to see similar anytime. GHD is different [and apparently polarizing]. You may not like it, but at least you'll see something that you can't see all the time on BWY

I must say, from the 3rd row, Cobie Smulders is dazzling.

I agree that Cobie was a treat, but she also had an arguably pretty small role. Beyond a few good parts, I found Present Laughter to be, for the most part, a bore, with a lead actor who was phoning it in.
