Is this really necessary, so soon?

It seems like ultra-speedy transfers across the Atlantic are becoming increasingly common. This isn’t as rapid as the Betrayal transfer, but a 10 month gap is far less that the 18 months - 2 year average.
Andrew Scott is brilliant, and this production has been acclaimed in the U.K., but a new revival of Pressmt Laughter just THREE years after the Tony-wining previous one is a bit OTT. Andrew Scott is probably doing something different from Kevin Kline, but it’s still the same overadapted play...

between this and Betrayal I give up, this is so absurd if a production with Kevin Klein couldnt move tickets how is this going to?

It did recoup with Kevin Kline.

Yes but...can Andrew Scott just do a one man Sexy Priest show? Like a rebuttal to Fleabag?

I went during previews to the 2017 version with Kline, but this remains one of the worst shows I've ever seen. It was a disaster. Entire mezzanine was sleeping when I looked around. If phones had been allowed it would have made for a great photo- literally rows of people passed out.

No, it is not. I'm sure Andrew Scott is great but find another show to do!!! It's Noel Coward's worst play, and Scott doesn't mean anything over here.

We just had Kline in this role and not long before that, Victor Garber did a revival. I really don't know that this play is popular enough to warrant another revival this soon.
