After watching Jane Fonda and Elaine Stritch delightfully chewing the scenery in MONSTER-IN-LAW I couldn't help but think that Fonda might make a fun Mame Dennis and Stritch a delicious Vera Charles.

uh...I'd say we have an age problem here.

Mame and Vera are supposed to be contemporaies.

No question they could both pull off those roles.
