How do you get tickets to a preview performance? Can you? Or is it by invitation only? I'm going to be in NYC next week and I would LOVE to see Gypsy. None of the other shows interest me before?
Has anyone seen Chicago recently? I saw it with Melenie Griffiths and I HATED it. I love the show but she killed it. Does anyone know how it's doing now? Would it be worth seeing it now?

Posted: 3/14/08 at 12:57pmPreview performances are sold as regularly-priced, readily-available tickets (Gypsy has been at TKTS consistently). It is only "invited dress" that requires an invite. So you can buy Gypsy ticket to your heart's content now.

Posted: 3/14/08 at 1:08pmI'm not sure, but they should totally sell them as cheap tickets!! Or keep them open, and I'll just move into them when I see the show!

I'm always so tempted to write that on the threads where people discuss seeing a show every day they're in New York. so thanks.

We see museums, too. We just don't talk about them on Broadway message boards. LOL.
Official rush policy, per the box office today, is that student rush is front row center, starting at 10am (he said the lines have been starting around 9:30). After those are gone, student rush is balcony (which is what I bought for tonight). The partial view seats are FULL price.

Yes, 2 per ID.
He said the partial view were "sold out" tonight. Though I find that highly unlikely. (Or, alternatively, there are gonna be some unhappy people who paid full price to see half the show)

Um, maybe he is. You don't know the rest of the poster's plans. This is a Broadway board, which is why he asked what he did.
Just because a show is in previews doesn't mean that you can't get tickets to it. I saw Gypsy on Wednesday and loved it.
