In a Playbill.com interview, Josh Gad says that there were several Elder Prices during the several years of workshops for Book of Mormon. Anyone know who they were?

The only one I am aware of is Cheyenne Jackson.

There was a very interesting article in the NY Times (having trouble linking to it right now but you can google it -- it's called, "The Twisty Road to Uganda and Broadway") that talks about the development of Book of Mormon and the changes over time. Benjamin Walker played the part in the first reading. Cheyenne Jackson and Daniel Reichard also played the part before Andrew Rannells took over.

"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

There also apparently used to be a rather large supporting role that was Price's mother, and it was played by Heidi Blickenstaff. From what I understand, each time they did a workshop, the part shrank more, and now it is just a walk-on done by a guy in drag in the airport.

Gad also mentions that Hasa Diga Ebowai originally meant something different than F-Y-G. Anyone know what it was?

It's a guy in drag? No way! I guess I was pretty far back.

I'd like to hear the songs they cut for the Mother.
