This could be the vehicle to get Megan Mullally on broadway!
my fingers has been crossed for cheyenne ever since he did the workshop two years ago. i am still praying that he doesnt do xanadu and becomes the georgous prince eric in the little mermaid.
Lizzie - he's a cutie! He has the piercing eyes that Prince Eric has!
The role of Flounder has been cast.
As I said on another board, by a young boy by the name of Cody Hanford.
Thank you?

Aaron Lazar would make me very happy. He'd be an awesome prince Eric.
Prince Eric is supposed to be charming and nice. Not cocky and rude. Aaron wouldn' work!
Kyle, we could be good friends. I agree.
THANK YOU, kyle.! omg Aaron is hot but he was SUCH a ****to me at stagedoor.
Remember that thread about a certain actor who HATES the show he is in on Broadway? It has since been deleted, of course, but I have a feeling there are not too many actors out there just DYING to play this role. No one will care. It doesn't matter WHO plays this role. Seriously, whoever does it will be doing it for the paycheck, I guarantee it.
Aaron was to me too. I'm 22 so I didn't care too much, but he was the same to all the kids around me. Not like he was in too much of a rush (he was taking his time and talking to everyone) but his attitude was snarky.

I'm surprised to hear Aaron's been not so warm at the stagedoor. When I saw him after Les Mis he was really very gracious and kind.

agreed, aaron was terrific. very willing to talk, and appreciative of the warm compliments, even though it was like 20 degrees out, and again very gracious and kind.
I met him at the stagedoor after a Piazza matinee a year and a half ago, and he was as nice as can be. He must have stuck around for a good 10 minutes to talk to the 3-4 of us there.
It would be nice to find man with actual testosterone in his body. Straight-acting is not masculine and “older” does not equate masculinity. Every musical may indeed be a love story, but it's rare to see actual heterosexual chemistry on a Broadway stage.
Regarding David Elder -
He also just played Billy Lawlor (again) in 42nd Street at the Walnut Street Theatre, Philadelphia, opposite Cara Cooper's Peggy Sawyer (she was recently a Holly understudy in Wedding Singer) and Mark Jacoby from the Sweeney revival).
Question about the boy cast as Flouder -
Is he the only boy cast or is there another?

Thanks for joining just to say that!
I think Martin Crewes or Matt Bogart would both be solid choices. If they want to go younger then Aaron Tveit seems fine.

Just heard yesterday that the part still has not been cast. They're still bringing people in for it.
