Curious ...
It was a regular show with a lot of breaks for applause. The guys cried a bit during We Belong. I was hoping for a speech from Tony but nothing.
Was Bette in the audience?
No sign of Bette. Audra was there as were old cast members. I saw Jessica Phillips and Tad Wilson and some others but I don't know their names. They were brought on stage for the audience participation dance.

Sounds pretty uneventful.
Very eventful, I hear. Everyone is too verklempt to post about it.

It was far from uneventful! The audience was supportive and cheerful throughout. More than half of the songs were clapped to the beat by the audience, and every joke landed really well. All three leads got a significant entrance applause. There was a mid-standing ovation after the line "Look at all the space./ And we filled it with impeccable taste." right before the "We Belong" number that lasted well over a couple of minutes. And then another instant standing O after that song.
One funny mishap where a ping-pong ball got blocked by Elaine's crotch and didn't shoot out into the audience. Her reaction/cover up was adorable!
Oh good. Glad to hear.
God I loved this show. The most fun I have had in a theatre next to Book of Mormon.
I'd be willing to lay money down that Tony Sheldon would be the only principal not to have missed a show?
Nathan Lee Graham never missed a show either.

Audra was there? Did she have an "On Vocal Rest" sign around her neck? A little.... interesting... partnered to Swenson or not, to be at Priscilla when she couldn't perform for the audience two blocks away who were hoping to see her.

I would fully expect her to be there for Swenson. She's on vocal rest, not bed rest.
There's a big difference between not being able to perform and not being able to leave the house.
It doesn't look like Porgy and Bess plays Sunday evenings. I agree with everyone about vocal versus bed rest. But, even if Audra had been performing, it doesn't seem like being at Priscilla would have gotten in the way if that was an evening performance.
boy, some people will jump on any little thing to try to make someone look bad.
Honestly, even if she HAD missed a performance to be with her fiance, those are choices people make. (Just like someone taking off a day of work to go to a college graduation!)
Sheesh.
Iluvtheatertrash your little attack on Audra McDonald is beyond ridiculous. The woman is on VOCAL REST. She wasn't on BED REST and she sure as hell wasn't under HOUSE ARREST. So now the woman can't even step out her front door because she can't perform in her own show? She had every right to be there and support her fiancee on his final performance.
Your post is a great example of someone who does not THINK before he posts.
Don't you just love it when people know what's best for total strangers.

Will also missed a performance of Priscilla to be at the Tony's with her. I have no idea why she wouldn't be at the final performance of Priscilla. It makes perfect sense.
Now that PRISCILLA has closed, I hear that MARY POPPINS is adding a ping-pong ball number.

I'm sure that if PORGY AND BESS had an evening performance yesterday and Audra wasn't on vocal rest that she still would have been there. It's her fiance, she's going to support him.
