Prop Question: Glass Jar

Not Broadway but hoping some prop masters know the answer. At 0:51 Victor smashes the jar with the heart. What is the jar made of to shatter but not spray “glass” all over stage?

BTW saw this Liam Scarlett Production at San Francisco Ballet a couple seasons and it was outstanding. The score as you hear in this clip was wonderful.

Break-away glass and sugar glass are often used on stage. They’re less dangerous than real glass. I would imagine it’s one of those - I think break-away is more common.

You can google breakaway bottles....or search for SmashProps on Amazon to get an idea.
