'Pyscho -The Stage Play

Some time ago i reported news on here about a planned touring production of Alfred Hitchcocks world famous thriller, 'Pyscho' that would eventually end up in the West End. All went quiet for some time and i have just been told that the adaption has now been taken up by the BBC as one of their future projects. They hope to get it into production in time for Christmas this year or next summer.
I always though this would be perfect for the stage in a smallish West End house.
The writers obviously couldn't resist the monty TV has to offer.

re: 'Pyscho -The Stage Play

I could definitely see it in the same vein as Woman in Black - a smallish show in a smallish theatre that just keeps running forever.

Its too bad that the writers are taking it to the BBC re: 'Pyscho -The Stage Play

I almost put 'The Woman In Black' in the post above because last year when we were handling it that is exactly how they wanted it to go.

It's awesome... if you see it, you might agree with me that it oculd make an incredible musical. Great characters, great twists and fantastic opportunities for big ensemble numbers.

Im excited but nervous about this

The thing what made the film so great was his choices in directing, the way the shower scene was shot, the close up on the eye etc etc, i cant help thinking that without the great man behind a camera guiding us t where we should be looking and what we should be looking for it would loose a lot.

If they do do it they should have all black and white sets with just the cast been in colour (obviously) and the blood been in red, that would be stunning looking
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

Very true but I now fear this will just become anther TV play that will be lost ,as you said, without a great director.

**** it! black and white set, black and white cast. grey and white and black em up, so it looks like youve walked into the theatre and lost your colour vision, then just have the most vivid hue of red ever! :) Psycho: The Grey Ensemble Group

re: 'Pyscho -The Stage Play

No not yet. I need time to just sit and listen the whole way through. That's the same with Parade though, i need to find time to just sit for a couple of hours and just listen to it start to finish! re: 'Pyscho -The Stage Play
