#1Question about TKTS tickets for a few shows
Posted: 1/3/11 at 10:38am

I will be in NYC this week and I have a question about 3 shows...I want to know if they have tickets at TKTS.

I want to see "A Little Night Music", "Next to Normal" and "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown".

Are these shows sending tickets to TKTS?

Women on the verge you just missed It closed last night

Night music probably will be on tkts But if you are a student I'd say just rush it since its only $27

Next to Normal may still be on TKTS but I've heard its only been 30% off which still comes out to about $95
You could do the lottery and usually after lotto they sell seats for $40
and they aren't bad seats

Good luck & enjoy the shows

Thanks!

I still have my student ID and am applying for Graduate school so I think a student rush for ALNM will be what I'll do. Are the student rush tickets near the front of the stage?

As for "Women...", I mainly just wanted to see it because of its All-Star Cast.

I know that the rush for night music used to be sro only. However, I don't know if they changed that.

They changed the policy for Night Music with the cast change...it's now 2 tickets per ID and I believe it's whatever is left. I've rushed 3 times since Bernadette was in the show and every time I've gotten an actual seat.

However, both of these shows are closing this week, so pickings may be slim(mer). I hear N2N hasn't been doing lotto loser lately- they've actually been selling out, and they lotto off SRO tickets after they finish regular lotto (for $26). Night Music may go back to SRO, depending on how well they've been selling.

Any idea what time their student rush starts? I get those times confused with the lottery times.

Has Time Stands Still been on TKTS lately? I haven't bought my ticket for this Saturday's matinee in advanced, hoping it'll pop up. But I'd like to know if it's even been showing up at the booths, so I can get my tickets now instead

Jersey Boys usually go quick, probably because they're hardly ever offered at a discount.

I know this might sound silly but I am going to go to NYC on the 29-30th and we have tickets for chicago on Sunday (won them) but we are going to tdf on saturday night. Have La Cage, Billy Elliott or memphis been on there? I really have no desire to see Adamms Family. I love Jackie and Nathan and I have always loved Lippa but I just have no desire. Is there something opening (previews at least) I dont knwo about?

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

You mean TKTS? La Cage is always there, normally at 50%. Memphis is usually there, at 30-40%. Billy Elliot has been there recently during the week for 50%, but it's not generally there ok weekends.

FYI, Saturday night is probably the hardest performance to get tickets for any show because it is prime weekend. If you don't have a show on Sunday night, there are some shows with performances then, and that's easier, as it's technically a "weeknight" (people have work/school Mon morning.)
