I figured you all would know the answer to a question that's been bugging me.
How many married couples -- where both husband and wife are actors -- have starred in different shows by either the same writer or composer at the same time?
The genesis of the question is that I know that Ron Bohmer and Sandra Joseph are both currently starring in ALW shows on Broadway right now (WIW and POTO respectively) and I was curious if there were any other married couples who've done the same thing, or if they are the first...

Not at the same time but:
John Dosset starred in Ragtime and Michelle Pawk in Sesussical, both written by Ahrens and Flahtery.
Carolee Carmello performed in Kiss me Kate and her husband Greg Edelman starred in Anything Goes, both written by Cole Porter.
Hugh Panaro and his wife (...are they still married..I don't know) were both in Les Miserables at the same time. He was Marius and she was Cosette.
that's adorable.
hunter foster and his wife jen cody were both in urinetown at the same time.
Carolee and Greg were both in 1776 together. Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs were in The Wild Party, Rent and Wicked together. There must be something in the water.
hunter and jen were also in Cats together
Sutton Foster and Christian Borle were in Millie together

Tracy Shayne was married to Hugh Panaro and they were in POTO together. No, they are no longer married.
Pawk and Dossett are currently in Mamma Mia together.
Michele DeJean and Mark Bove used to be married... Im pretty sure they were in Chicago at the same time while married. I could be wrong though.
Scott Wise and Elizabeth Parkinson were in Movin Out together.
Charlotte d'Amboise was playing Roxie in Chicago while Terrence Mann was playing Frank in RHS.
Peter Scolari was in... Sly Fox, maybe? While his wife Cathy Trien (I always spell her last name wrong) was in Gypsy.
I realize the shows Ive mentioned are not by the same composers but I didnt exactly understand your question so I just ran with it lol

Thanks that's helpful -- I guess if I had to set down "criteria" for my silly Jeopardy-esque question it would be this:
1) Married couples (although interesting too about all types of couples in general)
2) Two different shows (interesting though about married couples in the same show)
3) Principle parts in the shows they are in (vice swing/ensemble)
4) The two different shows share a composer, lyricist, or writer
Does that help clarify? I think GYPSY1527 provided some good answers and those were ones that I didn't know...

If we go off-Broadway, Andy Karl did Altar Boyz and Orfeh did Trailer Park at the same time in Dodger Stages.
Edited to say they both did Saturday Night Fever together too, but I think that was pre-marriage.

Michael C. Hall and Amy Spanger as Billy Flynn and Roxie Hart in Chicago.
"Tracy Shayne was married to Hugh Panaro and they were in POTO together. No, they are no longer married."
They didn't play in POTO at the same. When she was Christine, he was doing stuff like "The Red Shoes" and "Show Boat."
Shonn Wiley and Meredith Patterson
they were both in 42nd street.
Sutton and Christian are not married though. :/
Not in shows at the same time, but John Dossett and Michelle Pawk were also both up for Tony Awards at the same time (he for Gypsy She for Hollywood Arms). She won that year.

Elizabeth Southard was doing Show Boat in Chicago while Gary Mauer took over as Raul in The Phantom of the Opera. (Not the same composer, but the same director).

Ron Bohmer was in Phantom I believe and his wife Sandra Joseph is now playing Christine.

Will and Lori Chase were both in Full Monty.
Catherine Brunell and Christopher Mark Peterson in Les Miz. She was Eponine and he was Enjolras.
Robert Westernberg and Kim Crosby as Prince and Cinderilla in Into the Woods.
Scott Wise and Elizabeth Parkinson were in Movin Out together.
MOVIN' OUT cast members John Selya and Ashley Tuttle are also married.
Though never on Broadway (as far as I know), Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley have starred in many regional productions together.
Erin Dilly and Stephen Buntrock were both in "Martin Guerre" together
Andy Karl and Orfeh were both in Me and Mrs. Jones in Philly at the Prince theater and also in Atlantic City doing that review, "Nights On Broadway". They did indeed star in Saturday Night Fever together and got married soon after the show ended.
Paige Davis was in "Chicago" during the time that her husband Patrick Page was in "The Lion King".
Errico fan - I'm sure I read that that Selya and Tuttle were never married (though they were together for a long time). I'm also pretty sure they're no longer together....
This is why threads like this can be messy!
Kevin Kern and Megan Lawrence were in Les Miserables together and Monica! The Musical.
Andy and Orfeh were also in Me and Mrs. Jones together.
On the POTO tour, Gary Mauer is the Phantom & his wife Beth Southard is Christine. (awwww!)

mysterychix, as you can see, most people here don't follow instructions very well.
