Question about past dating with Ticketmaster

So my family had gotten tickets to see Groundhog Day on Thursday. It turns out that I have to work that night and can't see the show. I just wanted to find out what the process is for past dating tickets with Ticketmaster. I have only done it via telecharge.

If you got a comp through the contest, you're probably out of luck unless you check with the theater and see if they'll re-issue your tickets because of the set malfunction that night. Either way, you would have to check with the box office on what their past dating policy is, but it's not standard to ask to past date a comp. Usually, they give you a specific number to call on the day of.

I'm fairly certain the OP is talking about THIS thursday, not last so your post gives him little info.

It is up to the production if they will past date at all. When the rest of the family goes, have them inquire at the box office. Since it doesn't seem to be selling too well, you have a better chance of them honoring it. Traditional past dating can only be done the day of, but it can't hurt to ask!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Question about past dating with Ticketmaster

I am talking about THIS Thursday. I know that they will be able to honor my past dating request due to how it's selling. I feel that because of that I shouldn't have an issue. I was more trying to figure out how I go about doing it since my only experience with having to do this is through telecharge and not ticketmaster. I know that telecharge would put you on hold, call the box office and then let you know either way. I just am not sure the process or what needs to be done to do that with Ticketmaster.

I know that they have a line just for theatre. Do I call that line and ask them the day I want to go?
