Question about seating at the John Golden Theatre#1

Posted: 10/25/12 at 10:41am

I am planning a trip to NYC in December and want to purchase a ticket to see The Anarchist. However, the seating chart on Playbill.com is very different from the seating chart on Telecharge. I haven't been to this theatre before, so I was wondering if anyone had any insight on what the seating will be like for this show.

Thanks!!

The theater has been/is undergoing renovations, so the seating configuration has changed. Go with the seating chart that is on Telecharge.

No more center aisle down the middle of the orchestra at the John Golden. 'Frogs' got it right. The seating chart on TeleCharge is the correct one. If you love the Broadway theatre, you're gonna' be blown away by the renovation that took place over the summer at the Golden. Incredible. The Shuberts have done a remarkable job. THE ANARCHIST company arrives soon from the West Coast where they've been rehearsing.

New play, new digs, who knows?

Is there buzz for this yet? Anyone 'on the inside'?

I know it's only running through the end of February, some 14 weeks on the boards. Do we think it's worth going? I LOVE Mamet, but I can only go in January or so. I don't want this one to come in and not live to see past Christmas.

The Golden has been renovated and is gorgeous, lots of leg room to make it for a wonderful experience. The Anarchist apparently is going to blow everyone's mind and keep people talking about it for days. The two actresses are doing a remarkable job and Mamet is at its best. We'll see.
