Questions about Gypsy at the City Center

I've never seen a show there before and I know very little about the place. I was wondering if the actors/actresses would come out of a stage door and sign autographs after the show... I know that this is a regular practice for broadway shows but seeing as this is not a "broadway" stage...
Also, is normal Broadway attire appropriate for the City Center?
Thanks for all your help in advanced.

Posted: 6/18/07 at 9:34amWith all the questions you could conceivably ask about this legendary show, the geniuses behind it and the amazing star who is giving a once-in-a-lifetime, once-forbidden-by-the-author perfomance, all you can ask is WILL THEY SIGN FRIGGIN' AUTOGRAPHS?!?!?

Posted: 6/18/07 at 9:36amWell, will they???

Posted: 6/18/07 at 9:39amNo. In fact, Patti's bodyguard will be throwing grenades at the fans waiting behind the barricades.

That's no fun.
The fun would be if Patti was throwing them.

Posted: 6/18/07 at 9:41amTo answer your autograph question: I know for Encores people do come out of the stage door and sign playbills and take photos and all of that, so I'd assume they would for this too.

Posted: 6/18/07 at 9:43amPatti hasn't thrown a grenade since she played Lt. Kilgore in that developmental reading of "Apocalypse Now: The Musical".

But she does throw water balloons.
Trust me on this.
#9re: Questions about Gypsy at the City Center
Posted: 6/18/07 at 9:46amShe's throwing them now? I thought she just stuffed with them...

thanks to all those who responded to my original question.
"all you can ask is WILL THEY SIGN FRIGGIN' AUTOGRAPHS?!?!?"
I didn't see anything unreasonable about my question...and besides most of the other stuff you had listed are in ohter threads already so it would have been nothing more than a nuisance if I had asked about them, no?

Only for the fact that's it's history in the making.
But then agian, this board is filling up with folks who want to do nothing more than wait by the stage door, and pose for pictures where they are obviously leaning over a barricade.
Those ALWAYS impress me.

Oh, these kids today.
What, with their long hair, loud music and programs for autographs...

I'm fully aware that this is "history in the making" and that's obviously why I ordered tickets to it... I'm throughly overjoyed to get the opportunity to see one of the greatest musicals of all time with someone I consider to be one of the greatest performers of all time!
The only other show that I've ever went to the stage door for was Grey Gardens. I'm certainly not some vacuous mindless fan desperate for pictures and autographs. I was merely wondering if there was indeed a stage door at the City Center and if Ms. LuPone and the rest of the cast would make an appearence. Making generalizations about people is far more foolish than my question which is apparently regarded as "dumb." As I've mentioned before I've already read numerous threads about this event, it's not as if I'm ignorant to what's happening and what I paid money to see.

I understand that it would be thrilling for you to possibly obtain an autograph from LuPone at the stage door, but given that the show doesn't even go up for another three weeks, why are you posting this thread now? I don't think anyone will have an answer until someone has actually had the chance to go to the stage door.
