I'm flying in from CA for the Nov. 18th 8pm showing of Dear Evan Hansen. I bought the tickets on the night of the Tony Awards and figured with my luck that Ben's last show would be on the 12th, so I was very happily surprised when the 19th was announced. I'm trying to decide what I can fit into a quick weekend.
I'm either arriving Friday morning (red-eye Thursday night) and leaving Sunday night or flying in Saturday morning (red-eye Friday night) and leaving Monday or Tuesday. If I arrive Friday morning, that potentially gives me three more shows (Fri. night, Sat. matinee and Sun. Matinee). If I arrive Saturday morning, that gives me Saturday and Sunday matinee.
Part of me wants to skip a show Sunday and try to stage door for DEH on the hopes of Ben being there - not sure if he'd come out after his last show. Also, if I fly out that night, I might miss it entirely depending on which flight I book.
Other than DEH, I'm open to seeing anything. I can likely afford to buy tickets in advance to one more show, any others would be from the TKTS booth probably.
Any suggestions for shows to see that weekend or other things I shouldn't miss? What do you think is the likelihood that Ben will be at the stage door after Saturday evening or Sunday's show?
Come From Away is only and hour and a half long so you could see that and then stagedoor DEH. They start at the same time anyways.

Also, they're literally right across the street from each other. I think it's a great choice for the Sunday matinee slot, but you should definitely buy your ticket in advance for that one, since it hasn't been on TKTS since the beginning of its run. The Band's Visit and Once on This Island are 2 more one-act shows that would allow you to stagedoor DEH afterward on Sunday. They'd also be good choices to fill any other slots, along with SpongeBob, which might be fun. The Band's Visit will have just opened, and the other 2 will be in previews, so it's possible that they'll be available on TKTS. The advance sales on all 3 have been modest, so far. If you want to get a jump on this season's new musicals, I would recommend trying for those.
All of these don't fall along the plans of you stage-dooring, but here's my fall list : Torch Song Trilogy, Sweeney Todd, The Band's Visit, Once Upon This Island, and Hello, Dolly! with Donna (I've seen Bette already). There's also Time And Conways, and M. Butterfly - but I'm waiting for reviews and discount codes for these.
If you're a Tony whore like me, sounds like you would want to catch The Band's Visit since it seems to be on a track to be a frontrunner for some of the major prizes.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think I can fit both The Band's Visit and Come From Away in to my budget for the matinees on Saturday and Sunday - both sound like great shows. I won't book anything for Friday night and decide that when I get there (or see if I win any lotteries).
