How is Row BB (first row) dead center for the show? Is the stage too high? I'm also being given Row H, seat 1... which is better?
Thanks.

Having sat in both locations, if it's your first time, then row H. If you have seen the show before then row BB as the stage is very low. From BB you have to know the several times to look up at the top of the procenium. Your call but H gives you the bigger picture and BB let's you appreciate the Phantoms make up.
Either way, enjoy the music of the night!

^^ I agree.
I love sitting close to the actors for PHANTOM as I know the show very well, but if it's your first time then sitting back several rows will give you a better overall view. Row H seat 1 will be on the left aisle, which is a good viewpoint for much of the show.

Posted: 12/29/09 at 8:15pmthe odd thing about that theatre I noticed is either row H or the one behind, if the seats are in the middle, there is a noticeable jump in the height of the row so nothing blocks you (it's where the orchestra starts to slope up radically)

Thank you all for your responses.
I've seen the show before, and was so far back I couldn't see any make up!
So, row BB, if I look up (as I have no problem doing that) I will be able to see the catwalk, and the Phantom when he is by the chandelier?
Also, how often are you looking up? Is it most of the show, or just a few scenes? I was in the rear mezzanine so my main deal last time was looking down.

You'll only have to make a massive effort to look up during the proscenium bits at the end of Act I and when there are actos featured in the boxes and the bridge...
Sitting close at Phantom (after seeing it once before...I always take first timers to a seat that is farther back) is a magnificent experience.

Posted: 12/29/09 at 8:47pmYou're really only looking up during "Poor Fool/He Makes Me Laugh" when The Phantom comes atop the proscenium. And, then during the reprise of All I ask Of Your when he goes up on the statue to have the chandelier fall on the cast of Il Muto.

Last night it was offering me BB on at least 5 different nights, of course tonight, that seat is no where to be found...
EDIT: Got it, had to use the theatremania code instead of he broadwayoffers code.
