That is a beautiful song...and a beautiful post PJ.
I remember the first time I heard this song. I saw Ann-Margret perform it in 1991 at Caesar's in Atlantic City.

Everyone on BroadwayWorld can say whatever we damn please, but sometimes we should pause before pressing "Post Message" and ask ourselves if what we're about to say is really worth saying.
I myself will keep this in mind when posting here from now on as I have been guilty of my fair share of bitchy, snarky posts. I'm not perfect but I'm not above recognizing this and be willing to make an effort to make a change.

No "Liza's Headband." No it isn't "just because" of Adam and Aaron.

It doesn't matter what prompted this post, it's a lovely song with a classy sentiment.

So Pal Joey is calling Aaron Tveit a lady?
How does that raise the level of discourse here?

Did I miss a connection somewhere between PJ's post and Aaron Tveit? Or the Adam Pascal fracas?

Very nice, but I shan't forgive Peter Allen attempting to rhyme alone and home.
With Irma you gotta do something!

Someone, I was joking. There's an entire thread elsewhere in which someone claims he overheard (something about Aaron Tveit).
That thread turned into a discussion of whether such discussions are necessary here.
ETA because it was suggested that the other thread was deleted, indicating that the info was deemed out of bounds.

If there were any ladies here, I'd totally respect them.

Oh, Gaveston. You're always so literal.
As Peter Allen says in the third verse:
"Quiet, please. There's a person up there
Who's singing of the sins
That none of us could bear
To hear for ourselves.
Now give her your respect, if nothing else."

First, considering we are almost all adults (there are some teenagers under 1
it should not be too hard to criticize a performer/show in a professional manner. Using humor is fine also as long as it is not mean spirited. I would also add that there is a way to "Edit" your post after submitting it so if you made a mistake it is easy to correct quickly. I would like to point out that as a board let's not be selective about actor/show that gets nasty comments. If we dislike "snarky" comments about one performer then let's be consistent and get upset whenever these type of comments appear. JMO

You didn't miss much. It was third-hand info. Since the joke has been explained, I'll delete my explanation above.
