There was nobody in the boxes last night (until after intermission, when a few people moved there from the rear mezz), so perhaps they're using rush to dress the house a bit now. They have used the boxes in the past before--that's where I sat when I rushed Company. Even if you're in the boxes, you won't miss much, as pretty much the entire show is played downstage center.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

The only person I saw in the boxes last night (at least during the first act) was Jordan Lage, one of the understudies and a Mamet expert in his own right. Mamet, himself was hiding out in the last row of the mezzanine taking notes.

The orchestra might have had some empty seats, but the mezzanine was fairly packed, albeit full of TDF buyers.

Yes, it was. The TDF seats were actually quite good front mezz seats.
