RENT in Bryant Park - BWW section?

Alright, this has been talked about in a lot of different threads and I have been PMing people about it, but who is up for a BWW section this Thursday? If you are, let me know and we can organize it.

Well I was going to get there around 10, but now I think I'm going to try and get there earlier...it's kinda tough though with a two year old to plan things early in the morning like this...I live in Philly so I would have to be on a train at like 7 to get there by 9 or so....

This sounds cool.....I'm sending my mom in on an 8:45 train that gets in at 9:20, so she should arrive at Bryant Park by 9:45 (I'm praying).

I'm planning on getting there around 10:45.

If we'r seriously planning a BWW section I have a couple of questions.

1. How will we know where it is?

2. How will you know if someone is a BWWer?

I'll be there, sounds like I will go straight from the Today Show taping and just sleep on a blanket on the lawn :)

a BWW section would be great since i'm probably not going to be able to get there too early since my mom has to bring my brother to day camp at 9 so we'll probably leave directly after and get to the city *hopefully* before 11. I'll be there with two of my friends and my mom and i'll definitely be wearing my RENT shirt :) haha. Ohh yeah before I forget, i've never gone to an event in bryant park before.. do people bring chairs or just like blankets, dragging chairs seems like a lot of work so a blanket would be easier but idk if everybody brings chairs. Someone post please thank you.

There are chairs on the lawn; bring a blanket, too.

And I'm sure LOTS of people will be wearing RENT shirts.

They have chairs there that you can use. Blankets are nice but if someone is in front of you there is no chance to see anything. I just got an e-mail from someone I know and they warned me that this gets extremely crowded. So, I might be there earlier than I planned.

I was planning on getting there at 10:30ish but maybe I'll get there earlier. Do you think that besides people who are big Rent fans (ie: all of us who actually visit broadway related websites), there will be a lot of people there? I know it's normally busy, but those are people who just come on a weekly basis regardless of who or what is performing or come from offices on their lunch breaks.

Also, just clarifying, they're using the stage opposite of the one that they normally use? And reminders to all: bring sunscreen (it's supposed to be 95 degrees) and lots of water!

i will be there EXTREMELY early, at around 7 when the park opens because i'm going with friends that want to get good seats. i'll be with another forum, but i will definitely come say hi.

i think it will be extremely crowded. Not only will all of us be there, but there are people who are just always by the park or go for lunch so...who knows. Also, tourists.
