le crap...I won't be able to get there until 11:15...let's hope I get to see them on the today show at the very least. If I am deprived of RENT because of a singalong and a picnic...I think I will cry.

Question...for anyone who knows the park really well...would it be better for me to powerwalk from the part of the park around Columbus Circle to Bryant Park...or I am deranged in thinking that it will be a short walk?

If you take that walk, not only will you be quite hot and uncomfortable, but you will also be walking through times square (very crowded, lots of tourists, people walk vvvverrrryyyy slowly). I would recommend hopping on the 1 train downtown at 59th street to 42nd and walking the block over to Bryant Park. It'll be a 5 minute subway ride.

hyper...bryant park is easy to find...42nd and 6th...you cant miss it.

marlene, i also second what fantabulous said, take the subway...i made the walk once from 59th to grand central before on a really hot day and i think i almost died from heat exhaustion lol.

im trying to think of a way that we can all find each other, does anyone have any suggestions?

I think 7am is TOO early, but that's just me not wanting to get up very early. lol

Last week I got there at 12:30 right as it was starting and had a perfectly fine spot on the side in front.
I would just like to be more centered for this performance so I want to get there between 9 and 10. You can hear no matter where you are in the park, and the lawn extends quite a bit so you can find a spot where you will see. It's all a matter of how close you need to be.

I'm taking the train in from Jersey and I'm going into Penn Station. Sadly, I am a horrible judge of distance and I was wondering if someone could tell me if walking from Penn Station to Bryant Park is crazy.

Also, if I do approach the park from Penn Station where am I in relation to the stage (ie. is it at the far end of the park?)?

Oh, and I was thinking that if we do have a BWW section of seats we could each bring a print out of something from the website to prove that we're BWWers. It's probably a dumb idea... just kind of throwing it out there.

wow - bryant park isn't that far of a walk from penn station...it's only about 10 blocks or so (penn station is 34th and 8th i believe, and bryant park is 42nd and 6th). I will also be coming in by train to penn station and plan on walking because i need the exercise :) i don't know exactly where the stage is because i heard that it isn't on the normal stage (don't know if that's true though)

it is going to be very hot so i am planning on bringing lots of water and sunscreen...

alright so if we are going to get this section together, now is the time to really organize it...i've already got some PMs from some other people and we are all meeting up, so if you want to join us PM me and ill let you know whats going on...
