I bought the DVD: Rent on Broadway the other day. I wanted to know is the DVD the same as the actual show? It seemed like there was very little acting in it and there was a song every second. But if you have seen the show live and saw the Broadway DVD is it the same?
It is VERY different. On Broadway it was an opera called La Boheme.

That's how the show is, it's more in the style of an opera in that the scenes are all played out in the songs, with the exception of a few scenes of dialogue puncuated here and there.
No, I meant have you seen the show LIVE on Broadway or on Tour? Not the opera. If you have seen the show on Broadway or on Tour and have seen Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway, is it the same??
No, you can't normally see people's crow's feet and fillings when you go live.

RENT on Broadway was performed in a French/Spanish patois.
The tour was perfromed in a Bulgarian dialect.
I hope that clears up your misconceptions.

Is this a joke? Or is it that your only frame of reference for ReNT is the theatrical movie, where 68% of the music was cut and it just sort of lolled around between songs that ended with a thud?
Rent 2: Flob ©2008 FindingNamo is virtually identical to the stage version.

I thought the movie was AMAZING!

That would be why it is called a rock opera...

Why does WhiteBoySpice sound like an after shave lotion?
They made a film-version of RENT? Wow! Hopefully some of the original cast had cameos in it. That would have been uber coolio.

Yeah. They talked about it on Regis and Kelly. Dontcha watch television?
To the OP, Rent:Filmed Live on Broadway, is the same thing you would see if you had seen the show at The Nederlander or on tour. It isn't different. They just literally shoved cameras into the theatre and filmed what the actors were doing on stage.

Thank you winston. It seems that it took one person with limited intellect to communicate effectively with someone who had a similar mentality.
I knew you'd amount to something better than a door stop.
Yes, because clearly, a message board is a more accurate depiction of how smart someone is then, let's say, an IQ test.
Feel free to post your IQ Test scores, then.

You. Win.
No, YOU don't get what everyone is saying. Several people have responded saying that it's the same as what happens on the DVD. It's the same exact show, except the actual show may not have AS much of cheering as the DVD had.

Um, everyone got what you were saying, you're the one who didn't understand their sarcasm. That being said. Yes it is the same, besides obviously the camera angles, but they filmed the show as it is in the theatre.

I believe the word you are looking for is "than." Normally I wouldn't bother to correcting such an insignificant grammatical error, but I felt compelled to do so based on the concept of the sentence.
