Those have been on there for a while now...they are the ones sung by Dolly.
No they are not!

Nevermind..thanks so much!
Yay! I am glad they put these up.
How can I download these to my iTunes?

control click ( or right click PC) and save file.
Well, I was wrong about them changing things up for the recording for Janney. Kudos to her! She does hold up just as well as on stage. You can "hear" her- the three of them actually- acting.
The recording sounds the same as the opening number in L.A. so maybe they switched it up since then? Or this isn't the same recording as on the video. No matter, it still sounds great.
Megan sounds very different to me in some parts- it surprised me.
And Shine Like The Sun is wonderful! Thanks for posting that Timesquare3.
Caught the second preview last night and LOVED it! It may not be art, but it was the best time I've had at the theatre in a long time. Janey, Block, and Hilty are amazing and I loved Dolly's score. I liked "Billy Elliot," but "9 to 5" would be the show I would recommend to friends and see more than once!
I'm curious as to why many posters have to preface their love of 9 to 5 with "it may not be art but...". Is this because it is a comedy? I for one consider musical comedy one of the finest artforms out there.
It's not letting me save the soure without buying the proversion of quicktime.
BobbyBubby, I completely side with you on this issue. Sidneybruhl's remark jabbed at me like a fork. I'm sure you'll see that I've responded to your thread. And, based on the reviews here, I think it's safe to say that 9 TO 5 has some degree of artfulness.
On the "9 to 5" recording Megan Hilty does not sound the same as she does live...
^ I definitely agree with you on that. I kept waiting to hear her, lol. But I guess that's to be expected. Besides Shrek, isn't this the first time her voice is recorded like this?
Yes, musical comedies are an art form. But 9 TO 5 isn't exactly GUYS & DOLLS. It's a LOT of fun and it has a big heart and the laughs are plenty, but it's not exactly the smartest. It's theatre, so it's art by all means, technically. But it's no Pulitzer Prize contender. Not that anyone expected such. I think that's all sidneybruhl meant.

Stop ruining it for me.
In no way was my "art" comment meant to be a slam at the show or musical comedy in general. Having been a theatregoer for many years I fully recognize the artistic merits of both comedy and musical comedy. I was simply trying to make the point that this show is one for the masses, who let's face it, tend to stay away from "art." This show has across-the-board appeal and will be a big fat hit (which it deserves to be).
I would like to add that I resent certain posters on this board who consider themselves intellectually superior to the rest of us and imply that we may not know what "art" is.

I posted this in another thread, but will also post it here. I saw the show in LA and really had fun. BUT, I'm questioning, did I love the show, or did I love Megan, SJB, and Allison? That is my dilemma. As another poster said, it will be interesting to see how the show fares when and if the leads change. Would it survive as "Wicked" did with out Idina and Kristin? I'm no expert, but I don't think so.

Like WICKED, it's all about the actresses who are playing the leads. The material is fun and it has a lot of potential to soar, but without capable actresses at the wheel, it can totally go off course. I believe that there will be actresses after these three women who will do just as good a job. But only time will tell. I'm sure everyone thought WICKED would fall apart with the departure of the original witches. Look at it now!
Though Allison, Stephanie, and Megan are great in their respective roles, I don't think this show will have trouble weathering cast changes. Dolly's score is strong and the film has a large and loving audience. I really do think this show will have a long and healthy run.
I may be crazy but I have been looking more foward to seeing this show more so than West Side Story and Hair. Thanks for the great review Colorthehours048. I was just watching Juno again the other night and realizing that the show was about to start previews.
