I'm a big fan of Mandy Gonzalez, but seriously, she can't pass for her character's age on stage, you think she'd pass for it on film??

Rosario sounds decent when she sings in a fairly straight tone.

But when she has to change notes a lot or belt higher notes..not so much. Her range is very limited.

im really interested to see who is cast in this. there is a lot of really great potential in the "big names" right now and of course there are probably hundreds of actors in New York alone who would work wonders if they go with a lesser known.

bumping- was reading this interview with Sara Ramirez and thought that we didn't kick around her name in our imaginary casting...

DN: Another rumor has you starring in the “In the Heights” movie. True or false?

SR: “I haven’t been approached. Although I went to the opening and [“In the Heights” creator] Lin-Manuel [Miranda] and I have spoken a bunch of times. I blurted out that if anything were going to get me back to Broadway, it would be a musical that he wrote.”

I hadn't heard any rumours of her starring in the film... thoughts?

Does anyone else think that the stage production should have a little more life on it's own? I mean, a movie sounds great...but I would let the show run longer and let it keep getting attention on it's own.
